| I've been a chalk artist since Christmas of 1999, I even attended three week-long chalk art classes. I still do it my own way - lol. That's okay, it's the story of my life. If there were a lot of absolute rules to follow, it wouldn't be art, would it...? My biggest challenge currently is to put together sound tracks to go along with each picture. When I try to speak and paint at the same time, the quality of both is compromised. I don't want to just put some music on, so I use scripture readings as well. This works well, because my style involves illustrating Biblical stories. I was trained as a Baptist preacher, so preaching is inevitable (though it slows the process), so I need to be able to have some direct control over the sound track. Has anyone on here ever addressed the same problem? What do you use - a remote control, a foot pedal?" During this presentation, I use Mozart when I'm drawing the waves and foam. During the speedy parts of the music, I get a laugh by drawing with a flourish . When I draw each disciple, I talk about the individual's personality (that's Judas holding on to the mast). It is effective, but I have to keep communicating with whoever is running the sound board to start/stop each track. I've changed the uv image, and the sea is different now as well. | |
