Subject: Sand art with a WW2 theme by Kseniya Simonova Wed Jan 20, 2010 2:15 pm
Kseniya Simonova is a Ukrainian artist who won Ukraine's version of "America's Got Talent." She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.
As I mentioned in another sand art post, we can learn a lot about storytelling and showmanship from watching this performance technique. With just sand, light and a passionate soundtrack, Kseniya moved people to tears and earned a standing ovation. What tips can you draw from this?
It may start a bit slow but stick with it until the end.
