Hey gang,
After lots of looking online, I found a powdered pigment that is a nice shade of red under regular light and also glows a darker red-orange under black light. I asked Matt Bowman if he would try making up a small batch of sticks for testing. Of course, in the process of making chalk there are ingredients which need to be added that are white and this does shift the daylight look of the red a bit, but it's still pretty red.
Anyway, a single pound of the pigment is very expensive and only makes about a dozen sticks. Just curious - how much would you be willing to pay per stick for a new fluorescent color like this? If there is enough interest, maybe Matt would bump up the run. Right now it looks like the price will run about $30 per stick. Any takers?
